  • Job Description

    Metron is seeking a Procurement Specialist with 2-6  years of experience to provide purchase order and subcontract support. He / She will be responsible for cradle to grave purchase order and subcontracts administration including preparing and negotiating purchase orders / subcontracts, nondisclosure agreements and teaming agreements.  Will be required to analyze vendor proposals for all areas of compliance (cost/schedule/T&C/technical/etc.) and will be involved in supplier negotiations leading to subcontract and purchase order definitizations associated with suppliers and subcontractors of various size and capabilities within the industry.


    He/she will prepare and administer routine correspondence, negotiation memoranda, and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal. He / She will be responsible for preparing, organizing and maintaining contract records and files documenting contract performance/compliance.

    Desired Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    • B.A./B.S. Degree

    • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in purchasing/subcontract administration

    • Working knowledge of FAR, DFARs, and other agency supplements
    • Exposure to multiple contract types including FFP, T&M, and CPFF
    • CPSR Audit requirements, Cost and Price Analysis Techniques
    • Knowledge of Word, Excel
    • Proven ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
    • Solid negotiation, oral, and written communication skills are required
    • Must be able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
    • Candidate must possess a positive and proactive attitude and ability to handle multiple high visibility critical tasks simultaneously
