    The Technical Writer / Documentation Specialist is responsible for designing, developing and implementing an effective document control program for the Liberty Station, CA office of Metron’s ORCA Division.  This individual will participate in technical writing and document control. This position reports to the Lead Administrator.

     

    Seeking a professional Technical Writer to join our expanding team in the Liberty Station office. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating technical documents and manuals, explaining complex information in a clear and concise manner, and maintaining the integrity and updates to documentation when revised.  The Technical Writer will work with security, IT, and administrative staff to assist in the development and accuracy of documents.     Responsibilities and Duties:

     

    • Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational policies, procedures, and manuals
    • Develop and maintain a documentation management plan and file structure
    • Research, develop and document organizational policies, procedures, and artifacts to support compliance standards
    • Produce electronic documentation
    • Maintain a comprehensive library of documentation
    • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
    • Manage updates and revisions to technical policies, procedures, and artifacts per a continuous improvement plan

    Desired Qualifications

    Required Qualifications and Skills:

    • Proven experience working in a technical writing position, at least two (2) years of industry experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
    • Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
    • Knowledge of Department of Defense, Defense Security Service (DSS), or Risk Management Framework Policies and Procedures

     

    Desired Qualifications and Skills:

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
    • Secret security clearance
    • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF)
    • Knowledge of Cybersecurity documentation (NIST Special Publications)Configuration Control Board (CCB) management processes
    • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED, position will require background investigation to authorize access to classified information
