Our CETUS division is seeking a talented and enthusiastic mechanical engineer with strong design ability and hands-on experience with R&D projects. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for design, implementation, deployment and testing of both hardware and software for prototype autonomous maritime systems.
At Metron, we value innovation, inquisitiveness and insight. You will work on the design, development, and management of mechanical and electromechanical systems for unmanned underwater vehicles. In small, dynamic hardware/software teams, you will provide concept design, detailed design, and work to implement a range of mission capabilities.
In this position, we are looking for someone who can, when required, provide on-site support during integration and unmanned vehicle testing. You should be comfortable in a general shop and be able to rapidly implement hardware solutions as well as function in a marine environment. You will independently manage prototype development and testing iterations. Additionally, you will write feasibility/cost analysis and technical reports.
