  • Job Description

    Our Advanced Mathematics Division in Portland, OR is seeking a Subject Matter Expert to be part of a strong team of scientists, engineers, and operations experts in pursuit of applied research and development of effective and efficient solutions to National Security Systems problems.  This position requires extensive knowledge of ocean acoustics, with particular emphasis on the physical mechanisms that underlie transmission variability.


    This position provides a rare opportunity to collaborate directly with nationally recognized experts; many are authors in their fields.  Candidates sought for this position are expected to have a passion for this work.  The work performed will contribute to a persistent foundation for future National Security Systems.

    Desired Qualifications

    • PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related field
    • Minimum of 20 years of relevant work experience
    • Broad knowledge of pertinent literature
    • Capable of understanding how to model different physical ocean acoustics phenomena
    • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities with advanced Sonar signal processing techniques
    • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED,  position will require background investigation to authorize access to classified information
