Job Description

Our Reston office is seeking a talented programmer for R&D projects with strong experience developing web applications using JavaScript.  As a Web Developer, you will be responsible for working in a team environment implementing polished software and involved in the entire software development process, from concept, through design and implementation to demonstration.  Project teams are small, typically 2-5 people including Senior Analysts and Software Developers.  Our management structure gives you the freedom to create innovative designs and products.  The ideal candidate will have experience writing well-documented, maintainable, and extensible software as a Web User Interface Developer or Web Developer.

Desired Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
  • Client-side web UI development experience including JavaScript (ES6), React & Redux, and WebGL.
  • Server-side programming experience with Java (preferred), C++, Python, or similar.
  • Knowledge of user interface design principles.
  • Ability to communicate software and algorithm design in written reports.
  • Experience with databases and SQL a plus.
  • Experience with Big Data and parallel computing platforms such as Hadoop MapReduce, Mahout, Spark, or Storm a plus.
