Job Description

Our CETUS division is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior Electrical Engineer with large scale vehicle power systems experience for marine related R&D projects. At Metron, we value innovative research experience, inquisitiveness and insight.


In this position, you will work on the design, development, management, testing, and deployment of marine electrical systems for underwater vehicles, as well as improve upon current systems.  Ideal applicants will be required to provide on-site hands-on support during integration and vehicle testing, have understanding of all engineering discipline drawings and electrical discipline wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, system descriptions, and system calculations. 


Desired Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field
  • 0 - 2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Experience with electric motors, electric propulsion systems, fuel cells, different types of battery configurations / charging circuits / load testing, high voltage DC power systems with complex loads
  • Experience with marine vehicles/environments (esp. underwater) and/or marine electrical systems field testing highly preferred
  • Experience with circuit design and testing
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Some travel will be required
