  • Job Description

    Our CETUS division is seeking a talented and enthusiastic electrical engineer with ability to manage customer relationships, and interact with engineers, technicians and management on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be the lead deployed technical representative of our engineering team responsible for design, implementation, deployment, testing and troubleshooting of integrated undersea systems.


    In this position, we are looking for someone who can provide on-site support during integration and at-sea testing. You should be comfortable in a general shop environment, as well as possible participate in at-sea test and demonstration activities.

    Desired Qualifications

    Desired Qualifications:


    • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field
    • 5+ years of relevant engineer/technician experience
    • Experience with marine electronic systems and pressure tolerant systems
    • Experience with electrical engineering design tools (Altium preferred)
    • Practical experience with all development phases: circuit design and analysis; layout; assembly; board-level test; system integration and test
    • Experience with analog sensors, digital communications, electrical power management, embedded systems
    • Experience with electromechanical systems including stepper motors, brushless motors, generators, solenoids
    • Experience with microcontrollers or FPGAs for digital signal processing, serial, I2C, TCP/IP Ethernet, RF communications, and supervisory control
    • Experience with Linux operating systems, shell scripting, embedded C, C++, Java
    • Prior experience with one or more of the following: control systems, radio frequency, acoustic systems
    • Experience with marine vehicles/environments (esp. underwater) and/or marine electrical systems field testing highly preferred
    • Must be able to use hand tools such as: cutting tools, cable/connector crimping tools, soldering irons, PCB rework stations
    • Familiar with the use of power supplies, generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
    • Some travel will be required
